Kolkata: The center and Mamata Banerjee government's tussle in West Bengal is not going to stop even after the assembly elections. Mamata Banerjee has now tried to take credit for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which has sparked controversy. A letter signed by Mamata from the state government in Bengal was distributed to the farmers. Mamata has claimed that the Bengal government's 'Kisan Bandhu Yojana' is better than the Central government's 'PM Kisan Samman Yojana' and that the pm Kisan yojana money is also being received by farmers because of the Bengal government. Becharam Manna, minister of state for labor in the Bengal government, has distributed Mamata's letter to the farmers of Singur.

Becharam Manna has accused the Central government on the occasion of giving Kisan Nidhi yojana money only to BJP workers. Mamata's letter says that by making various excuses, the Central Government was not giving the amount of The Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi. The BJP has said that the Mamata government does not deliberately want to give money to Bengal farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Yojana.

Mamata's letter says, "You people know that the state government launched the Kisan Bandhu Yojana in 2018 with full state government money, which has proved to be a model across the country. This was followed by the launch of the PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana by the Central Government in 2019. Comparatively, our Kisan Bandhu Yojana has very high facilities. Farmers without land can also avail the scheme under self-declaration. We have doubled the amount given under the Kisan Bandhu Yojana to the highest in a year at Rs. 10,000 and a minimum of Rs. 4000.'
