Himachal Police has busted a major scam at Manav Bharti University in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Himachal's fake degree scandal has created a ruckus in 17 states. This scam of fake degrees is being reported to be 194 crores 17 lakhs, in this case, the SIT team raided 75 places and questioned 275 persons. Rajkumar Rana, the main culprit of the scam and the chairman of the Manav Bharati Trust, has been taken into custody. The strings of this scam span 17 states. The story of the scandal was written at Manav Bharti University in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. There was a furor when the Himachal's biggest police officer held a press conference in the capital Shimla yesterday. DGP Sanjay Kundu and his team opened a string of fake degree scams at Manav Bharti University. Out of the total 41 thousand of the university, more than 80 percent of the students have a degree. With this degree of business, Rajkumar Rana, president of Manav Bharti Charitable Trust, raised an empire of 440 crores in just 11 years. Rajkumar Rana, who created the biggest scam in Himachal Pradesh, has been taken into custody by the police.
The scam has been busted by ED, Income Tax Department along with the SIT team of Himachal Police. But this scandal has raised questions about the education system. After all, how can an organization play with the lives of thousands of people for last 11 years. Do not know how many different degrees will sit in the country. Do not know how many worthy people will have their rights killed by fake degrees and will be repaid now.
