New Delhi: In India, Honda has ordered the recall of the CB300R motorcycle from 2022. It is unknown how many units are altogether affected. The right crankcase cover of the engine may have a manufacturing flaw that could result in an oil leak and a possible fire risk, claims the manufacturer.
Even if the car is not covered by warranty, Honda will replace the defective part free of charge.
Honda claims that a manufacturing flaw in the crankcase cover could cause the sealing plug to become loose due to the low retention force caused by engine heat.

When the plug is removed, engine oil may leak out and catch fire if it comes into contact with a hot vehicle surface. The rider or riders could get hurt. Tires that have oil leaks may become slick.
Honda has declared that it will inform owners of CB300Rs of the recall. They must bring their cars to the closest BigWing dealership for an inspection and free replacement of any damaged components.

Customers who are unsure whether their bikes are affected by the recall can check by going to the BigWing website and entering the vehicle identification number (VIN) of their two-wheeler.
The Honda CB300R features a powerful fuel tank with extensions, split-style seats, a side-mounted exhaust, a digital instrument cluster, an all-LED lighting setup, and it is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
The motorcycle has disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, dual-channel ABS, inverted forks on the front and a mono-shock unit with seven steps of adjustability on the back.
A 286.01cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke engine that complies with BS6 powers the Honda CB300R in India. The engine is connected to a 6-speed gearbox for transmission purposes.
The mill produces a peak torque of 27.5Nm at 7,500 rpm and a maximum power of 30.7hp at 9,000 rpm. The bike's sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h is 7.35 seconds, and it gets about 30 km per litre of fuel.
