Prostitution business runs openly in these 68 villages of MP, concern increased after SC's decision

Neemuch: The Supreme Court on Thursday, May 26, took an important decision. The Supreme Court has said that prostitution is also a profession and that the police should not interfere in their work. After this decision, there has been a sudden stir in Malwa, because in Neemuch, Mandsaur and Ratlam, women of one religion are carrying on the flesh trade as a bad practice. In such a situation, the latest judgment of the Supreme Court is being interpreted in its own way.

In fact, there are more than 50 such encampments along the interstate highway passing through cities like Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Ratlam, where prostitution is done in the open. Over the years, in several guerrilla operations, the police have rescued hundreds of such girls from these hideouts, who were being traded in prostitution. In fact, women of the Banchha community have been carrying out this evil practice for a long time. As the evening approaches, the settlements and tents on the side of the highway become buzzing.

The Supreme Court in its judgement has said that sex workers should have their professional freedom. The police, administration or machinery should not disturb them for no reason. They also have the right to live with dignity. There is a lot of commotion in this community after this decision. But the reformists of the same religion, who are young people, are also expressing concern that the exploitation of minor girls may increase under the guise of these judgments. It may be recalled that a youth from the community, Aakash Chauhan, has moved the High Court to ban minor girls from doing the flesh trade in Malwa. He says that after the Supreme Court's verdict, the flesh trade of minor girls will now increase, as there are many illegal roadside restaurants on the national highway, where the flesh trade takes place easily. About 2000 minor girls are involved in the flesh trade in Neemuch, Mandsaur and Ratlam. After the court's decision, now the people of this community have got an open exemption.
