In view of the growing threat of corona infection, the Government has closed all government offices till April 28. An order in this regard has been issued by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey. The government had decided to close the government office from April 23 to 25 to prevent covid infection. Officials and staff in several government offices, including the Secretariat, are also facing infection. With the infection cases on the rise, the government has now issued orders to government offices to close from April 26 to 28. But the officers and staff of the departments are going to be present at the headquarters. In the meantime, mobile phones will not switch off. The officer and the employee are going to be called to the office at any time if required.

7.6 lakh people screened in the state in 23 days: It has been found that the government and health department have increased the covid test to prevent covid infection in the state, but sample testing has been very low per lakh population in many districts. 7.6 lakh people are being tested for covid in 23 days. The highest number of tests were conducted in Haridwar and Dehradun districts. The second wave of covid in the state is adding to the woes. With the rapid increase in infected cases every day, the mortality rate has also increased. In order to control the infection, the government has increased sample testing, but in many districts, the testing is decreasing on the basis of per lakh population.

It has been learned that more than 7.6 lakh samples have been tested in the state from April 1 to 23. 88% test has been conducted in four plain districts of Dehradun, Haridwar, UdhamSingh Nagar, and Nainital. While 12 percent of samples were tested in the remaining nine hilly districts. In Pithoragarh district, only 48 people are being tested per lakh population. In Almora district, the number is 62. Social Development for Community Foundation President Anup Nautiyal has said that the rapid lying corona infection is on the rise. Sample testing needs to be expedited to prevent this.
