New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) inaugurated its "war room" for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Delhi on Saturday. The party has fielded candidates for four out of the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital, while its alliance partner, the Congress, is contesting the remaining three. These constituencies are scheduled to go to polls on May 25, during the sixth phase of the seven-phase elections.

Located at the party's headquarters on DDU Marg, the "war room" will consist of 12 teams, each dedicated to different purposes, according to Gopal Rai, the convener of the AAP's Delhi unit. While the AAP is contesting from East Delhi, South Delhi, West Delhi, and New Delhi, the Congress is contesting from North East Delhi, North West Delhi, and Chandni Chowk. In-charges have been appointed for each of the four constituencies to ensure that the AAP's election campaigns are well-organized, Rai stated.

The dedicated teams will handle logistics, campaign management, legal affairs, data management and analysis, media, and social media, among other tasks, to ensure smooth and organized campaigning in the four seats contested by the party. Rai also announced the maiden roadshow by Sunita Kejriwal, wife of incarcerated AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in support of the East Delhi candidate Kuldeep Kumar later in the evening. This event marks the beginning of the third phase of the party's Lok Sabha campaign, "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se".

During the first two phases of the "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se" campaign, the party conducted door-to-door outreach in the four constituencies and organized "Sankalp Sabhas" to protest against Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate last month in connection with a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy. Rai expressed that there is widespread anger against the BJP, emphasizing that "this election is being fought by the people of Delhi". The nominations for the polls in the Delhi constituencies will begin on April 29.
