India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the second match of the series of three T20 matches. In the T20 played in Sydney on Sunday, Australia batted first and scored 194 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Team India won the match by scoring 195 runs for 4 wickets in 19.4 overs. With this victory, India gained an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series. This is the second time it has managed to win the series on Australia ground. india last won the series by 3–0 in 2016.

Shikhar Dhawan returned to the pavilion after scoring a half-century. He was caught by Sweepson and bowled by Adam Zampa. Dhawan scored 52 off 36 balls. He hit 4 fours and two sixes. Virat Kohli became the victim of Daniel Sams by scoring 40 runs. KL Rahul scored 30 off 22 balls. Sanju Samson became the victim of sweeps by scoring 15 runs. Before that, the Kangaroo team scored 194 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Captain Matthew Wade was run out after scoring 58 runs off 32 balls. He hit a half-century off 25 balls. In his turn, Wade hit 10 fours and a six. Steve Smith became the victim of Yuzvendra Chahal by scoring 46 runs. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in 38 balls. Glenn Maxwell became the victim of Shardul Thakur with 22 runs off 13 balls. Sundar took his catch. T Natarajan gave Australia the first blow.
