New Delhi: After a clean sweep of West Indies at home, Team India is now going to face Sri Lanka. With the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia later this year, Team India will not shy away from trying out different options in the three-match T20 International series starting on Thursday. The first match of the current series will be played in Lucknow from 7:00 pm.

After defeating the West Indies 3-0, now Team India will try to teach a tough lesson to Sri Lanka and the team led by Rohit Sharma is also considered as a contender to do so. But despite the desire to do a clean sweep, the team management will try to give as many opportunities as possible to as many players as possible before the World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November.

In the absence of established players like Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, the upcoming three matches will surely give more chances to the likes of Ishan Kishan, Rituraj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson. In Kohli's absence, Shreyas Iyer will get a chance to play more overs and score big scores to cement his place in the middle order. After the return of Kohli, he is scheduled to play at number three.

India: Rohit Sharma (capt), Rituraj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan (wk), Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Jasprit Bumrah (Vice-captain), Avesh Khan.
