The Delhi government has decided to organize a very small ceremony for Independence Day in view of epidemic corona infection. The preparations for the ceremony to be held in a limited scope have been expedited by the Ministry of General Administration of Delhi Government. Minister of General Administration Ministry Gopal Rai said that this time the martyrs will be remembered by organizing the Independence Day program in Delhi Secretariat at ITO instead of Chhatrasal Stadium. Apart from CM Arvind Kejriwal, only about a hundred prominent people are being invited to the program with the aim of following social distancing in view of the Corona crisis.

Gopal Rai issued a statement on Wednesday, saying, we want Independence Day to be celebrated with great pomp on August 15, and we want to express the reverence of the martyrs towards the country. But keeping in mind the situation of today, this time the government has decided that the program of August 15 will not be held at Chhatrasal Stadium.'

Cultural ceremonies that take place on Independence Day will also not be sponsored this time. This time the full function of Independence Day will be held in Delhi Secretariat at ITO. In this program, arrangements are being made for more than 100 people. During this time, the rules of social distancing will be followed completely, so that we can also organize the celebrations of August 15 and also avoid the crisis of pandemic Covid-19.
