India achieves 'extraordinary feat', 90-pc vaccination: Mandaviya

NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Monday that 90% of adult Indians have received both doses of the Covid vaccination. He said that it was an outstanding achievement "What a remarkable accomplishment! With the help of the PM @NarendraModi Ji's campaign slogan, "Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas," India has successfully vaccinated 90% of its adult population.

The health ministry data states that 32,40,839 precautionary dosages were given to this group. Until 7 a.m. on Monday, preliminary reports indicated that India had more than 197.98 crore (1,97,98,21,197) people who had received vaccinations.

This was accomplished over the course of 2,58,55,578 sessions. The Covid-19 vaccination has so far been given to more than 3.69 crore adolescents, according to the ministry. India, meanwhile, reported 16,135 new cases of the Covid-19 infection on Monday, along with 24 deaths that were expected within the previous day. The number of active Covid-19 cases has increased by 2,153 over the same time period. There are now 1,13,864 current cases of Covid infection in total.
