Parthiv Patel has been called by Board of Control for Cricket in India to play 3rd Test match against England which is scheduled to begin from 26th November in Mohali. This call is ahead of the strain injury to the number one wicket keeping choice for India in test matches i.e. Wridhhiman Saha. He got himself injured in the second test in Vishakapatnam.

It is interesting to see that Parthiv Patel has played his last test match against Sri Lanka in 2008 and his last international appearance was against England in T20 match in the year 2011.

Talking about the career statistics, he has named 683 runs at a normal average of 29.63 in which he has scored 4, 50+ scores. This call is ahead of his recent performance in Ranji tournament where he has smashed 415 runs with an average of 59 making 3 fifties and one hundred. Another name in the list was Rishabh Pant who has recently come into the news because of his fastest first-class hundred for India and having a good first class season this year.

How the step comes out, we need to see in the coming match. India is already in the lead of the 5 match series with 1-0.
