Corona havoc not stopping in the country, 72,000 new patients found in a day

New Delhi: The corona in the country has started to wreak havoc again. According to Worldometer, 72,182 new cases have been reported and 452 people have died within the last 24 hours. Now, the number of active cases in the country has crossed 5 lakh 85 thousand. About 1.63 lakh people have lost their lives in the country since corona. States like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are facing the highest number of new cases in the country.

The new wave of corona in Maharashtra has caused havoc. On March 31,39,544 new cases were reported and 227 deaths were reported in the state. As of Wednesday, there are 3,56,243 active cases in the state. Mumbai, the country's economic capital, has reported 5394 new cases and 15 deaths in 24 hours. In Nagpur, Maharashtra, 2,885 new cases were reported and 58 deaths were reported on March 31. In Punjab, 5057 new corona cases were reported and 124 people died in 48 hours till the morning of March 31.

The national capital recorded the highest number of deaths after two and a half months on March 31. On Wednesday, 1819 new cases were registered and 11 people died in the capital in 24 hours. On January 13, 11 patients had lost their lives. At present, the number of cases is 8838. The total death toll from corona in Delhi has been 11,027.
