Corona breaks record in India, 95,735 new cases reported in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India reported 95,735 new cases of corona infections on Thursday, the highest ever in a day. A total of 44, 65863 cases have been reported in the country. This data has been released by the Union Health ministry. In the last 24 hours, 1,172 people have died due to corona, the largest number of deaths in a day so far.

In India, 1,133 deaths were recorded on Tuesday and 1,129 people lost their lives on July 29. India is now leaving the US behind in the case of daily deaths. The US is the most affected country by the pandemic.

The first case was registered in India on January 30, after which India ranks second after the US in terms of the most affected country by COVID19. Out of a total of 44, 65863 corona cases in the country, 9, 19018 cases are active, and 34, 71783 people have been cured so far, while 75,062 people have lost their lives.

Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh are the most affected States. According to the ministry, their contribution in active cases is more than 62%. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, India conducted a record 11, 29756 tests in a single day on Wednesday and the total number of samples tested so far is 5, 29, 34433.
