New Delhi: In India, the number of infected has reached 84,11,724 with 47,638 new corona cases a day. The death toll has risen to 1,24,985 with 670 new deaths. However, the number of people recovering from this disease is also increasing. So far, more than 77.65 lakh people have been recovered.

With the recovery of 77,65,966 people, the recovery rate in the country has gone up to 92.32%. The death rate is 1.49%. The number of active cases of Covid-19 remained below 6 lakh for the eighth consecutive day. There are 5,20,773 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country till date. India's Corona Tally crossed the 20 lakh mark on 7 August. On 23 August, the Corona case in the country crossed 30 lakhs and on 5 September 40 lakhs.

This figure reached 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October and 80 lakh on 29 October. According to data released by ICMR, a total of 5,54,29,095 samples have been tested till 5 November, with 12,20,711 samples being tested on Thursday.
