Leh: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is on a visit to Russia amid tension with China over the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, but will not meet top Chinese leaders during his visit to Moscow. Rajnath Singh will leave for Russia on 22 June. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to Russia to attend a program organized on the 75th anniversary of conquering Nazi Germany. Indian defence personnel will also participate in this program.

However, Rajnath Singh will meet top Russian leaders in Moscow and leaders of other countries, but due to Ladakh tension, he will not meet Chinese leaders. Rajnath Singh will be accompanied by Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar and a top officer of every armed force. India is attempting to surround China by not meeting Chinese leaders on the international stage. On the night of 15 June, a team of Indian Army went to Ladakh to talk to the Chinese army at Petroling Point-14 of Galvan Valley. Was During this time, the Chinese soldiers ambushed and attacked the Indian Army. In this violent clash, 20 soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred, while China also suffered a lot. Since then, tensions between the two countries have deepened.

Regarding tensions with China in Ladakh, the defence minister has decided not to meet Chinese leaders at a time when the US has expressed solidarity with India on this issue. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has paid tribute to the martyrdom of Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley.
