New Delhi: India has successfully tested the short-range ballistic missile Prithvi-2 developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) yesterday. Tested at an interim test range off the Balasore coast of Odisha. According to the information received, the missile achieved all its mission objectives as set by the Strategic Mission Command.
This surface-to-surface missiles are capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Giving information, defense sources said that this state-of-the-art missile was fired in the dark from the Integrated Test Center (ITR) at Chandipur and the test was successful which achieved all the standards. Giving information, an official of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has said that the launch of ITR by a mobile launcher from Complex-3, this missile, which has a range of 350 km.
Describing the test as a routine exercise, he said the launch path of the missile was monitored by radars, electro-optical tracking systems and telemetry centers that achieved all the standards. Let us know that India has done this test at a time when tensions with China and Pakistan are going on. In such a situation, it is considered a big success for India.
