Afghanistan /India: India has brought back 104 people, including 10 Indian nationals, from Kabul in a special charter aircraft on Friday. Arindam Bagchi, a spokesman for India's External Affairs Ministry, said the flight was organised as part of the country's Operation Devi Shakti. After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan on August 15, the operation was initiated to evacuate Indians from the country.

"A special Kam Air flight chartered by India has arrived in New Delhi from Kabul as part of Operation Devi Shakti," Bagchi said. "It has carried 10 Indians and 94 Afghans, including members of Afghanistan's Hindu-Sikh minority." Nine children, including three infants, are among the evacuees," he said.

Officials say the flight will likely to fly back 90 Afghan people stuck in India as well as medical supplies. Three copies of the Guru Granth Sahib and Hindu holy manuscripts were brought from Kabul's old Asamai Mandir.

The "three holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from historical Gurdwaras in Afghanistan and Hindu religious scriptures, including Ramanaya, Mahabharat, and Bhagavad Gita," from the fifth century Asamai Mandir in Kabul," said Puneet Singh Chandhok, president of the Indian World Forum, in a statement earlier.
