India Germany sign MoUs on triangular development cooperation and renewable energy partnership

Berlin: S Jaishankar, the Minister of External Affairs, met with Svenja Schulze, the German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, has signed agreements on triangular development cooperation and renewable energy partnership. Both presidents discussed climate action, robust and reliable supply chains, and the economic consequences of the Ukraine war, Jaishankar said on Twitter.

Climate action, robust and reliable supply chains, third-country collaborations, and the economic consequences of the Ukraine war were among the topics discussed "Jaishankar sent out a tweet. In another tweet, Jaishankar added, "Signed agreements on Triangular Development Cooperation and Renewable Energy Partnership."

Jaishankar also met with Annalena Baerbock, his German counterpart, and inked a contract for a direct encrypted connection between the two foreign offices. They also talked about the Ukraine war and the Indo-Pacific, he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Germany for an official visit. On Monday, Prime Minister Modi met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin. PM Modi and German Chancellor Scholz met at the Federal Chancellery for the 6th edition of the India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations. The Inter-Governmental Consultations, according to the Ministry of External Affairs, are a unique biennial dialogue tool that allows governments to collaborate on a wide range of bilateral issues.

PM Modi will also visit Denmark on Tuesday for talks with leaders from the Nordic countries, as well as other high-level exchanges. His visit will continue on Wednesday with a stopover in Paris, where he will meet newly re-elected French President Emmanuel Macron.
