India gets simple draw in Uber Cup badminton finals

India got a simple draw in the Thomas and Uber Cup badminton finals to be held in Aarhus, Denmark, from October 3 to 11. The draw, released on Monday at the BWF's office in Kuala Lumpur, placed the Indian men's team in Group C with 2016 champions Denmark, Germany, and Algeria, while the women's team with fourteen-time winners China, France and Germany in the group. D is ranked.

According to the BWF release, both the men and women teams are seeded 5th in the tournament. This prestigious tournament was originally scheduled to be held from 16 to 24 May, but due to the coronavirus, it was organized to be held from 15 to 23 August. In most countries, it was postponed again if the situation did not improve.

The BWF halted its World Tour and other sanctioned tournaments after the completion of the All England tournament in March due to the global Corona crisis. BWF's operations officer Stuart Borri said, 'We accept many disruptions in our calendar this year, but we want to assure you that BWF is monitoring the situation in Corona.' Indian men and women team for the year 2018 I had failed to reach the knockout stage in the previous session. The women's team managed to reach the semi-finals in 2016 and 2014 (New Delhi).
