New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that even though the country is witnessing a daily increase in cases of coronavirus, the reduction in corona mortality and increasing recovery rate is a positive sign for the country. He described it as a great achievement for the country. On Saturday, 69,877 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the country, the highest number of infected patients in a day so far. The figure of infected patients has reached 30 lakhs.

Harsh Vardhan said that, as far as the number of corona infects is concerned, our death rate (1.87 per cent) is really low and we have the best recovery rate (75 per cent) in the world. We currently have about 1500 testing laboratories. This in itself is a major achievement. It is noteworthy that for the third day in a row, there has been a big jump in the cases of Coronavirus in the country. 69,877 new cases were reported on Saturday, the highest number of infected patients in a single day so far.

The number of infected patients has reached 3 million. But the good thing is that the number of people recovering from the infection has exceeded 2.2 million and there has been a record increase in testing samples.
