Speaking to the media, Jayasuriya said that the people of the country have been facing this situation for many months. Jayasuriya further said, "It is unfortunate that people are going through this situation. They can't survive like this and have started to protest. There is a shortage of gas and there is no power supply for hours.''
Jayasuriya said that people have now started protesting against the Sri Lankan government. They are showing the government that they are suffering. It is the responsibility of the present government. If the situation is not corrected, it will turn into a disaster. The former cricketer has appealed to the people to protest peacefully.
