New Delhi: Pakistan has always shown great disinterest and interest regarding the Kartarpur Sahib corridor. Now when this corridor closed due to corona epidemic, Pakistan has announced the date of opening the corridor without consulting India. Pakistan wants to open the Kartarpur corridor for Sikh devotees from Monday June 29, ie tomorrow, after about three months.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi tweeted on Saturday that June 29 is the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. We want the corridor to be opened on this day. For this, we are talking to India. The Government of India has rejected the proposal to open Pakistan's Kartarpur Corridor in the present situation. The Government of India said that this is an attempt to create confusion in the name of goodwill.

India said that according to the agreement, the two governments are required to give each other 1 week's time to reopen the Kartarpur corridor, but Pakistan is only talking about reopening the corridor within 2 days. Now the Home Ministry will take a final decision in this matter. In view of the threat of Coronavirus, a decision was taken to close the Kartarpur Corridor on 15 March.
