India preparing new space policy, will take local companies global

New Delhi: India is constantly making progress in the field of space. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chairman K.M. Sivan said that India will prepare a draft of a new space policy with an aim to increase private investment in the country's space sector. According to media reports, the draft of the proposed new space policy is being planned in a  manner for the launch of space vehicles, satellite navigation, manned space missions and space exploration.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chief K.K. Sivan has said that the Space Policy and Space Activities Bill is in the final stages. A few days ago, the government has decided to open the space to the private sector. For the last few days, a special policy for space and legislation for the activities of space is in progress. Meanwhile, the government has also allowed the private sector to participate in space activities.

While giving the information as the Secretary of the Department of Space, Sivan said that both the first space policy and the second space activities bill are in the final stages. K Sivan said that a system will be introduced for approval very soon so that these activities can be run without any hindrance. Last month, the government announced a major reform in India's space sector by allowing the private sector to participate in space activities such as rocket and satellite manufacturing.
