New Delhi: The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa is to be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday. According to Indian time, this match will start at 1.30 pm, but according to the Meteorological Department, today's match seems to be getting difficult. Actually, it is raining heavily in Lucknow for the last few days. On the day of Dussehra i.e. 5th October, record rain has been recorded in Lucknow on Wednesday. According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, 61.4 mm of rain has been recorded. On the other hand, there is a high chance of rain even today.

According to accuweather.com, it will be cloudy throughout the day in Lucknow, with a 96 per cent chance of rain during the day. And the probability of thunderstorms is 58 per cent. If the situation continues like this, then today the fun of the fans can be gritty. The management of Ekana Stadium says that if there is no rain during the match, then there will be no problem. Stadium owner Uday Sinha has informed that the drainage system of Ekana Stadium is state-of-the-art and rainwater can be made playable by taking it out of the ground within just 30 minutes. 

Let us tell you that for the first time in the Ekana Stadium, the Indian men's cricket team will play an ODI match. Earlier, India played T20 matches against West Indies and Sri Lanka here.
