Team India has won the hearts of cricket fans by creating history in Australia. India has become the first ever team from Asia to win a Test series on Aussie soil. The team earned praise from some of the legends of the game as they marked a brilliant end to their tour. Now, Former Australian batsman Dean Jones got impressed by the performance of the team and he compared Kohli’s team with the great West Indies side of the 1980s.
Jones praised the team India and In his column for the Times of India, he said that current Indian team has got the same 'scare factor' as the Windies team of the 80s. He wrote that India now are no different to what the West Indies were in the eighties and early nineties. They have got to maintain the reputation that they can win in anyone's backyard now and must not take the foot off the pedal. He further added that The Windies were brilliant at it and had that scare factor, which is what India have now.
For the unversed, India delivered the outstanding performance and won the ODI and Test series 2-1, while the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw.
