India to join top three economies in next two decades - Mukesh Ambani

Mumbai: Mukesh Ambani, the country's richest man, said on Tuesday that India will be one of the top three economies in the world in the next two decades, and the per capita income will more than double in the meantime. Mukesh Ambani said in a conversation with Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg that India's middle class, which is about 50 per cent of the country's total households, will grow at a rate of three to four per cent per year.

Ambani, the owner of Reliance Industries Ltd, said, "I believe that India will be included in the top three economies in the world in the next two decades," which will be run by the youth. He said, "The per capita income in the country will increase from the US $ 1,800-2,000 to the US $ 5,000".

The country's biggest industrialist Mukesh Ambani said that Facebook and many other companies and entrepreneurs in the world have a golden opportunity to do business in India, be a part of this economic and social change. He said that India is growing at a very fast pace and will soon join the big economies of the world.
