Prime Minister on Thursday said that, "People of India will be enthusiastically cheering for our athletes".

Recently ,The Arjuna award given to Deepa Malik, two days after receiving the award she complained that PM did not meet any of the Paralympians and wish them in his monthly radio address. Not even sport minister meet any of them.

The Rio 2016 Paralympics starting from 7th September and will get the wishes of all Indians, PM said.

He also added, "We all wish our contingent for the Rio 2016 Paralympics the very best. I am sure our athlete will give their best and make us proud."
