SYDNEY: Despite being returned from the Test tour this week, David Warner and Ashton Agar were named to Australia's team on Thursday for the upcoming One-Day International series in India.

Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell, two all-rounders who recently suffered injuries, were also named to the team for the three-match series, which begins on March 17 in Mumbai and continues with games in Visakhapatnam and Chennai.
When batting in the second test, opener Warner suffered an elbow injury and a concussion, and spinner Agar was sent home to play domestic cricket after being passed over by spinners Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann.
Pat Cummins will captain the team in a series that will aid Australia's preparation for the World Cup in India later this year. Cummins also had to fly home from India after the humiliation in Delhi due to a family issue.

Both left-arm paceman Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Cameron Green were added to the squad in expectation of their full recovery from the broken fingers that stopped them from participating in the first two tests.

Josh Hazlewood, a paceman, was benched so he could rest his injured Achilles, which also prohibited him from participating in the test series. Josh would be a tremendous addition to this series, but chief selector George Bailey stated, "We have taken a prudent position ahead of a very significant winter in England, of which he will be a key part.
Jhye Richardson, who has recovered from a hamstring injury, will improve the fast-bowling stocks.

While Maxwell has already made his comeback from a broken leg with Victoria's state team, Marsh, who is recovering from an ankle ailment, is anticipated to play two home matches for Western Australia before travelling to India.

The top selector, George Bailey, stated that these games in India are a crucial part of our preparation for the World Cup, which is less than seven months away. Glenn, Mitchell, and Jhye are all significant players in our hypothetical October squad.
