Indian Army Cancels CEE In J&K's Samba

Jammu: The Indian Army announced cancellation of a Common Entrance Examination scheduled for April 25 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district. This exam was held for candidates who successfully cleared a recently held recruitment rally. Amid the situation across the nation decision of cancellation of exam is for precautionary purpose.

The Indian Army had conducted a month-long recruitment rally. The rally was at the Sunjuwan Military Station in Jammu from February 10. Candidates for various posts hailed from all the 10 districts of Jammu division. Army Public School, B D Bari in Samba was going to conduct the exam on April 25th for the candidates who had successfully cleared the recruitment rally and declared medically fit. A defense officer said that “The CEE has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation, and fresh dates for the exam will be intimated later.” The official advised the candidates to visit the Army’s recruitment web page from time to time for the latest information.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration have extended the ongoing night curfew to all municipal and urban local body limits in view of the spike in COVID-19 cases, yesterday. The officials said Jammu district recorded a maximum of 451 cases, followed by 383 in Srinagar district and 110 in Baramulla district. Meanwhile in Jammu and Kashmir total number of people vaccinated are 6,22,150.
