Srinagar: Three infiltrators have been killed by the Indian Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir, while four army personnel are reported injured. In the night incident, the army has foiled the nefarious designs of the infiltrators. Officials have given information in this regard on Wednesday.

Defence sources said that firing was lashed out at Khaur area of Akhnoor sector of LoC on Tuesday evening to ease infiltration of militants from the Pakistani army. A source said, "Four army soldiers have been injured in the firing on behalf of the Pakistani army and three terrorists have been killed in retaliation from the Indian side and some of them have been foiled by the attempt of the infiltrators. "

The source further said, "The bodies of the slain terrorists are lying on the Loc towards Pakistan, which has not been raised by Pakistani troops so far." This is the first major ceasefire violation on the Loc from Pakistan side in the year 2021.
