LADAKH:  the lead-up to India's 78th Independence Day, the Indian Army organized a spirited 'Tiranga Yatra' on Wednesday in Leh, Ladakh. The procession started at Col. Rinchen's Memorial and concluded at the Hall of Fame, with army personnel proudly waving the tricolour and singing patriotic songs, setting the stage for the upcoming national celebration.

This 'Tiranga Yatra' is part of the larger 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,' an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inspire a sense of nationalism by encouraging citizens to display the national flag at their homes. The campaign aims to deepen the connection between the citizens and the national flag, fostering a strong sense of patriotism.

In a similar spirit, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) held a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' walkathon in Srinagar. Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG, Srinagar Sector CRPF, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, "The CRPF's Srinagar Sector has organized this walkathon as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. Our goal is to evoke respect for the Tiranga among the people and spread a message of unity. We are delighted to be part of this initiative."

Shah urged every citizen to ensure that their homes, buildings, offices, and vehicles proudly display the tricolour as India steps into its 78th year of independence on August 15.

In the 112th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Prime Minister Modi called upon all Indians to actively participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to commemorate Independence Day. The campaign, which is a key component of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was launched in 2021 to celebrate the 75th year of India's independence. The initiative is designed to invoke a deep sense of patriotism and promote awareness about the significance of the Indian National Flag.
