The bulletproof helmet has been manufactured by Major Anoop Mishra for the protection of the army. It is being claimed that this is the first bulletproof helmet in the world that can stop a bullet fired from an AK 47 from a distance of 10 meters. Earlier, Anoop Mishra had manufactured a bulletproof jacket that can provide protection against sniper rifle bullets.

Army officials said that the ballistic helmet has been made by Major Anoop Mishra under the 'Abhed Project'. Under this, a full body protection bulletproof jacket has also been developed. Anoop Mishra works for the Indian Army's College of Military Engineering. Major Anoop Mishra was shot in an operation when he was posted in Jammu and Kashmir. During that time, he was wearing a bullet proof jacket, due to which the bullet could not distinguish his body, but that bullet had left an impact on the body.

After this incident, he decided to make a new bulletproof jacket. A bulletproof jacket designed by him can withstand a sniper bullet from 10 meters. Apart from this, Military Engineering College, Pune, along with a private firm, has also developed the world's cheapest gunshot locator. It can detect the exact location of the bullet from a distance of 400 meters. This will help in the fast detection and neutralization of terrorists.
