Shillong: With the intrusion on the India-Bangladesh border, there is a big disclosure about how cattle are stolen. Now such news has come from the border state of Meghalaya, one can be surprised about it. From here, Bangladeshi Muslims come to India without any documents i.e. infiltration and takes animals especially cows with them.

In fact, the Border Security Force (BSF) has released data on the theft of Indian cattle by Bangladeshis. According to BSF, more than 10,000 cows have been seized from the India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya in 2019. According to an official, BSF has also arrested a total of 176 foreigners for entering the country in 2019 without valid documents.

According to BSF, till December 31 last year, BSF in Meghalaya seized 10239 cattle, valued at Rs 16.86 crore. The BSF has also stated that the continuous seizure of cows during the last one year has indicated a huge increase in animal smuggling attempts at the border. He said that most of the cattle were transported in trucks with their arms and legs tied.
