New Delhi: After the announcement of extending the period of lockdown of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the next 19 days i.e. 3 May, the Ministry of Railways has also announced that no trains will run in the country till 3 May, then goods trains will run which will allow the movement of goods Will do it across the country. No passenger train will run till May 3 due to lockdown. This includes passenger trains to Rajdhani Shatabdi and all express trains.

Railways said that the passengers who booked their tickets on the dates after April 14, their tickets will also get canceled automatically and their money will be returned. Along with this, all the urban trains will also be closed in which all local trains including Mumbai, Kolkata, Metro Rail, Konkan Railway will also be canceled. However, the movement of goods trains will still continue to run smoothly for the supply of essential materials across the country. Booking of all passengers will be canceled. All reservation counters of the railway outside and inside the station will also be completely closed till 3 May.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Tuesday to extend the nationwide lockdown implemented by May 3 to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and said that it is necessary to beat this epidemic.
