NEW DELHI: After the World Cup 2019, the Indian team is leaving the West Indies on Monday 29th July. The Indian team will not hold any 'pre-departure press conference' before the one-month long tour. Usually the team captain and coach do press talks before going on any tour. The Indian team had a 'pre-departure press conference' even before the World Cup and the last tour of Australia and New Zealand.

According to BCCI sources, this time it has not been possible. The Indian team is scheduled to play three T20s, three ODIs and two Test series on the West Indies tour. MsK Prasad, the team's chief selector, announced the team at the BCCE headquarters for the three series of tour on July 21. The captain of the three tour teams was appointed as the captain of the tour, rejecting all the efforts to comfort team captain Virat Kohli.

A BCCI source said, "This time the Indian team will not hold any pre-departure press talks before going on tour. There is no time for press talks before the team's departure. We tried but it was not possible."
