New Delhi: Many areas of Delhi were submerged in 2 hours of rain on Sunday, while now the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy rain in the next 2 days in Delhi and its surrounding areas. The department said in the weather forecast that heavy rains are expected during the next 2 days in various parts of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh.

Due to rain on Monday night, many parts of Delhi were flooded. Water entered in homes. Water was stored near the Indraprastha metro station that a flood-like situation was created. About 10-15 families of Anna Nagar, houses were damaged due to rain and people had taken temporary shelter elsewhere, but that too was damaged due to rain. After which these people have taken shelter in a metro station. One of them said, "We are facing a lot of problems due to rain. Nobody is listening to us."

Earlier on Sunday, heavy rain again submerged the Minto Bridge underpass, killing a 56-year-old driver of a mini truck stuck in the water. There was also a lot of rhetoric on the death of the driver and the BJP blamed the Kejriwal government for this.
