Dehradun: On the occasion of the 5th International Yoga Day, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) personnel on Friday conducted yoga exercises at their posting places in different parts of the country. The troops also enthusiastically practiced yoga at the forward posts of the force located in the border areas of the Himalayan High Altitude .

The Yoga programme was jointly participated by ITBP jawans, women personnel and their families located in Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. According to a senior ITBP official, 50 thousand troops of the force participated in the yoga, including places in the Ladakh region with a height of 19000 feet and minus degrees.

O in Sikkim. P. The jawans also conducted yoga exercises at Dorzila (18750 ft), Rohtang Pass (13000 ft), Vasudhra Glacier in Uttarakhand and rugged rain forests and river banks of Arunachal Pradesh. Along with this, ITBP jawans also participated in yoga exercises held in various 28 identified cities of the country. ITBP spokesperson Vivek Kumar Pandey told media that yoga exercises were also conducted with horses and swans working in the force in the training institutes of the force.
