Indore: Youth arrested for raping minor girl:

A 24-year-old youth was arrested by police for raping a minor girl in Chhatripura area, Indore on Friday. The accused also threatened the girl not to reveal the matter to anyone.  According to the police, the victim stated to the police that her parents had gone to attend a marriage function when the accused reached her place and raped her on the terrace of her house in December 2019. The girl got pregnant after which the family members came to know about the incident. The police have arrested the accused and further investigation is being done.

Chhindwara girl found hanging: In another incident, a 25-year-old girl was found hanging at her rented accommodation in the Vijay Nagar area on Friday. No suicide note was recovered from the spot so the reason for her suicide could not be established yet. Vijay Nagar police station in-charge Tahjib Kaji said that the deceased was identified as Shilpa, a resident of Malviya Nagar area. She was found hanging by her landlord at around 3 pm. The girl hailed from Chhindwara and was employed in a company in the city. The police are investigating the case to know the reason for her suicide.
