Indore: Lockdown implemented to prevent spread of corona infection. Due to this, schools and colleges were also closed. The Madhya Pradesh government has given a green signal to give general promotion in undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. Now the first and second year students are adamant on returning the examination fee. In this case, many students have raised questions in front of Devi Ahilya University. In response to this, the officials say that most of the fees have been spent on the examination related arrangements. However, the guideline has not come yet. The officials are engaged in talking to the higher education department on the issue.

However, as soon as the announcement of General Promotion was announced, the students of first and second year of graduation have started going to the university to return the fees. In this regard, B.Com student Saurabh Verma, BSc student Lokendra Bais says that the fees were paid in February. Now that the examination has been canceled, the fees should be returned to the students. The financial condition of most of the students is being said to be very weak. In view of this, the university needs to take a decision.

At present there are more than two lakh students in many undergraduate courses including BA, BCom, BSc, B.Ed, B.P.Ed., Bachelor of Social Work, BBA, BCA. Fees from 1500 to 2000 rupees have been taken from each student. In this regard, the university has earned about 40 crore rupees from the examination. Youth Congress spokesperson Abhijeet Pandey has also placed a demand for refund of fees in front of the officials of the University.
