Houston: There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people on the International Day of Yoga in Texas, here is the hope of thousands of people to promote yoga on June 21. The Consulate General of India in collaboration with several organizations is organising several events on the 5th International Yoga Day in Texas. The main event will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the lush green lawn of Midtown Park.

Experts here will also brief people about the major postures as well as yoga, pranayama and meditation. After the celebrations at 7.30 pm, people will play the festival Holi in India in different colours. In Houston, the Consulate General of India, Dr. Anupam Ray has told the media that yoga is what "we (India) export... For the well-being of the mind and body... We don't export hatred or hatred, we don't say that my religion is better than you. We say yoga is great for tan, mind and heart.''
A special session on Yoga Day will also be dedicated to children and will be explained how to do yoga while sleeping in another. The Yoga Day began on June 15 in Austin, the capital of Texas, where more than 1,000 people from each region have participated so far. The Bohra community in Houston also celebrated Yoga Day at the mosque on Saturday, which included both men and women.
