Steve Smith and David Warner are facing allegations of Ball tempering and consequentially both stepped down as the Australian captaincy permanently.

 In the most sensational IPL event, Ajinkya Rahae replaced Steve Smith and joined Rajasthan Royals as a captain.

According to recent news which is coming from the official Twitter handle of SunRisers Hyderabad, David Warner has stepped down as captain of SunRisers Hyderabad.

“In light of recent events, David Warner has stepped down as captain of SunRisers Hyderabad. The new captain of the team will be announced shortly, K.Shanmugam, CEO SunRisers Hyderabad”.

Reports suggested that both Smith and Warner are facing one-year bans while Coach Darren Lehmann is still in the team. Smith has already been suspended for one Test and docked his entire match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for his role in a plot that saw teammate Cameron Bancroft tamper with the ball during the third Test against South Africa in Newlands, Cape Town on Saturday.

 Worth mentioning here Australian opener Cameron Bancroft was caught red-handed by television cameras appearing to rub a yellow object on the ball during the third Test. The ICC suspended Smith for one Test and docked his entire match fee while Bancroft got a 75 percent fine and three demerit points.
