IPL 2021: Captain Sanju Samson's troubles increased after RR's victory, fined 12 lakh!

RR captain Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 12 lakh for maintaining slow over speed. RR has clinched a thrilling victory over Punjab Kings. Pacer Kartik Tyagi took 2 wickets in the final over giving just 1 run to give the team a 2-run victory.

4 runs were to be scored in the final over. Pacer Karthik Tyagi took the wickets of Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda in the last over and gave up just one run in his and team's final over. Management said in a statement that "RR captain Sanju Samson has played against Punjab Kings at Dubai international stadium but has been fined for slow overs in the middle of the match.''

According to the statement, "The team could not complete the over for the first time under the rules relating to slow over speed of the IPL Code of Conduct and hence Samson has been fined Rs 12 lakh. This was the team's first match after the IPL was restored.''
