The Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders all revealed replacements in their respective teams on Thursday, ahead of the IPL 2021. According to an IPL press release, the Royal Challengers have signed Sri Lankan Wanindu Hasaranga to replace Australia's Adam Zampa. Let us tell you that Hasaranga took seven wickets in the recent three-match T20I series against India in Sri Lanka, including a four-wicket haul in the final T20I.

Dushmantha Chameera replaces Daniel Sams, left-arm fast George Garton replaces Kane Richardson, and Tim David replaces Finn Allen of New Zealand. Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals have replaced England's Jofra Archer with New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips. Phillips has played 25 T20Is and has a total of 506 runs to his credit. He has a strike rate of 149.70 and has a total of 102 half-centuries. Tabraiz Shamsi of South Africa will replace Andrew Tye in the Royals' lineup, according to the announcement.

Punjab Kings have signed Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis for Riley Meredith. Ellis recently was in the limelight following his hat-trick on his international debut against Bangladesh earlier this month. The right-arm pacer is also one of the reserve players in Australia’s 2021 T20I World Cup squad. Punjab have also picked England leg-spinner Adil Rashid to replace Jhye Richardson. Knight Riders have brought Tim Southee on board. The veteran New Zealand pacer will be a replacement for Australia’s Pat Cummins, it added.
