MUMBAI: The two young spinners Kumar Kartikeya and Raghav Goyal have been receiving training from former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg, who is currently a member of the Mumbai Indians squad for the IPL 2023. Hogg has revealed that he regularly discusses strategies with the players to help them get better as the season progresses.
The Mumbai Indians team this year has been one that is overflowing with fresh talent, like previous seasons. Kumar Kartikeya and Raghav Goyal are two youngsters seeking to make an impact on the team this year.
Left-arm wrist spinners, an uncommon speciality in cricket, are what Kartikeya and Goyal both do. Hogg, a two-time World Cup champion and one of the greatest left arm wrist spinners of all time, is their trainer.
While Goyal is a new member of the Mumbai Indians, Kartikeya had a strong debut season for MI last year.
"Well, I'm just helping a few spinners over here. There are a few wrist spinners at this place. I continually discuss strategies with the boys about how we can strive to get better as the year goes on "According to a media release released by the team, Hogg made the statement.
One of the most reliable bowlers on the domestic circuit is Kartikeya. He was an important member of the Madhya Pradesh squad that won the Ranji Trophy last year and is also capable of bowling left arm orthodox spin.
