New Delhi: Some matches in IPL 2023 will be remembered for smoky batting and sharp bowling, while some due to controversies. During the match played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 1, Bangalore's Virat Kohli had a heated argument with the player of the opposing team. Kohli had not one or two but many players as well as mentor Gautam Gambhir.
In this match, Kohli got into trouble with Amit Mishra, Naveen-ul-Haq and Kyle Mayers. Virat Kohli had an argument with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir after the match was over. After the match, Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100 per cent of their match fees by the match referee. Afghanistan bowler Naveen-ul-Haq, who got involved with Virat Kohli, had to sit out after only one match. Mentor Gautam Gambhir gave him a place in the playing XI in the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but was dropped after one match.
Let us inform that, LSG kept Naveen-ul-Haq out of the playing XI against Gujarat Titans (GT). In his place, Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of the team as a foreign player, fed wicketkeeper batsman Quinton Dickock. Starting the innings, Dickock played a blistering inning in the very first match. De Kock scored 70 runs in 41 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes. The amazing thing is that Naveen-ul-Haq, who was dropped from the team only after one match of Virat Kohli's mess, has also played with Virat Kohli in RCB. Quinton de Kock played for the RCB team in the year 2018, but his season was not good. He scored 201 runs in 8 matches, in which 53 runs was his biggest innings.
