However, Asha Negi started her acting career by working in the popular serial 'Pavitra Rishta' of the TV industry. She became famous after the same show. The show had Rithvik Dhanjani opposite Asha Negi and the chemistry of the two was very much liked by the audience. On the set of the show, both were loved and both stayed together for quite some time, but then they break up. In a recent interview, Asha praised her ex-boyfriend Rithvik Dhanjani.

She said, "there was a time when she was not being liked by the audience on the show and gradually she went into depression. In the days of depression, Rithvik helped me immensely.'' At the same time, the actress also said, "I had eaten a lot in those days because of which my weight increased considerably. But thank God that I was surrounded by such good people, including Rithvik, who helped me come out of depression. During the ups and downs in my life, I had a guide in both of them.''

Asha also said, "When your shows don't work, you become very emotional. When my first show did not work, I was not so disappointed. I may have had a good career in my past, so it doesn't matter if a show doesn't work well. But when your next show did not work, it was a very distressing thing for me. I was very demotivated. I thought it was all over. I was very sad at that time. Because of depression, I started eating a lot of food that caused my weight to increase. It shook my mental peace and confidence." In view of this compliment, fans say that these two may become one again.
