Is Kejriwal himself protecting 'corrupt'? Amanatullah's arrest raises many questions

New Delhi: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Amanatullah Khan has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with a corruption case. Now the entire Aam Aadmi Party has come to the rescue of its leader Amanatullah Khan. AAP leaders have once again condemned Amanatullah Khan's arrest and accused the BJP of running Operation Lotus. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has made this allegation. However, there has been no response from party supremo Arvind Kejriwal in this matter.

Manish Sisodia tweeted, "First they arrested Satyendra Jain, but there is no evidence against him in the court. They raided my house. Nothing was found. Then started a fake investigation against Kailash Gahlot, and has now arrested Amanatullah Khan. Operation Lotus is underway to break every AAP leader.'' The AAP defended Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, saying his arrest was a "new conspiracy" by the BJP and he was being implicated in a fake case to defame the AAP. 'AAP' has said in a statement, 'The party's MLA Amanatullah Khan has been arrested in a fake and baseless case. Nothing has been recovered from his residence or office. However, these allegations of Sisodia and AAP seem to be only political, they have not been able to present any concrete evidence of them, Mere verbal allegations have no meaning. Like the investigating agencies arrested Satyendra Jain, then produced him in the court, sought custody from the court by showing evidence of corruption against Jain and the court granted custody. Exactly the same will happen with Amanatullah, he will be produced in court, and if he is innocent, he will be released himself. The ACB will have to produce evidence of corruption in the court to seek his custody.

Let us tell you that the continuous arrests of the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are raising serious questions about the party's founder and convener Arvind Kejriwal. These questions become even more important because the party which was born from the anti-corruption movement, the leader who became the Chief Minister after taking an oath to eradicate corruption and change politics, the leaders of that party are constantly trapped in corruption cases. Huh. Kejriwal himself used to say that the leader who is accused of corruption, should resign from his post and prove himself innocent in the first investigation. But the Health Minister Satyendar Jain for whom Kejriwal had asked for Padma Vibhushan, he is in jail for the last 4 months in the corruption case, but CM Kejriwal is not freeing him from the post. Even Jain has said in ED's interrogation that he has lost his memory and does not remember anything.

At the same time, Kejriwal's deputy Manish Sisodia himself is badly trapped in the liquor scam, and by withdrawing its excise policy, the Delhi government itself has given an opportunity to the opponents to say that if there was no corruption, then the policy was ordered as soon as there was an inquiry. Why did you take it back? Now the arrest of Amanatullah Khan has given a big blow to Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal himself is praising his leaders fiercely, but he is not able to give any concrete evidence in their defence. This is also one of the reasons, which is questioning the integrity of the Aam Aadmi Party and the intention of Arvind Kejriwal. Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal should prove his leaders innocent in the court and give a befitting reply to the opposition, if they are not able to do so, then only one message will be sent to the public and that is that Arvind Kejriwal himself has given protection to the corrupt. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed the same procedure, When he was accused of Rafale scam, he did not give a verbal reply to anyone, but returned after proving himself innocent by showing all the documents in the court. If Kejriwal and his party leaders are innocent, then they should also follow the same path.
