Visakhapatnam: The traffic police department of Visakhapatnam has come under the scanner after a photo of a bill went viral on social media on Friday (November 25). Actually, a picture of Jesus Christ and a quote from the Bible were also written on this bill. The picture of this controversial bill was shared by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Aman Venkata Ramana Reddy on Twitter. In this bill, a person from Andhra Pradesh was charged Rs 80 for ferrying an auto from Vizag Railway Station to VIP Road.

It is worth noting that at the top of the bill is written 'Traffic Police, Visakhapatnam City'. At the same time, there is a picture of Jesus Christ below it. Along with this, a quote from the Bible was also written that 'Jehovah, will protect you in your coming and going from now till forever.' The same picture of the bill was also shared by RSS ideologue Ratan Sharda. Sharing this photo, he asked, 'Traffic police in Andhra Pradesh are fined with the message of Jesus, long live secularism. Why is no Indian going to court? Are the lawyers of Andhra Pradesh only busy in earning money?

After the controversy escalated on social media, Vizag Police clarified that 'These slips were handed over to the head constable by an auto driver. But, unfortunately, he made a mistake in an emergency and distributed these slips. After the matter came to notice, it has been banned immediately. The distribution of slips was not done intentionally. However, social media users did not seem satisfied with the Vizag police's reply and reacted sharply, accusing the police of cheating.

A Twitter user named 'Phani Kiran' wrote, 'An auto driver, a head constable and a chief minister 3 undercover agents.' Phani Kiran probably wanted to say that all three people are using government resources to propagate Christianity. Accusing the Vizag police of hiding the facts of the case, another user tweeted, 'Great rescue.' Another user wrote that 'Traffic Police, Visakhapatnam is clearly written on the slip. If the entire police department of Vizag district follows Christianity, so be it. Just don't lie, which is against your religion.'
