Delhi Dynamos registered a win against the defending champions Chennaiyin FC at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Thursday. The Delhi team got the best of themselves by making the Chennai team lose by 3-1. Delhi got the best start for the season as this was their first match.
The star of the team was said to be the Brazilian winger Marcelo Pereira who stuck two goals against the team from the south in the first half of the game. The third goal was put by Badara Badji, shifting the match beyond the reach of the Chennaiyin in the 86th minute.
Chennayin FC has not yet received any victory since the start of the season, the first match against Kolkata resulted in a draw and thereafter they lost this match by 3 goals to 1.
