FC Goa created a new history in Indian football on Wednesday, 19 February 2020, when it defeated Jamshedpur FC in an Indian Super League (ISL) match to become the first Indian club to qualify for the group stage of the AFC Champions League. FC Goa beat Jamshedpur 5-0 after performing brilliantly.

According to reports, FC Goa scored goals from Ferran Corominas (11th minute), Hugo Bomos (70th and 90th minute), Jacichand Singh (84th minute) and Mortada Fall (87th minute). With this win, FC Goa ensured its top position in the league stage of ISL.
